Will there be a VS2012 & MVC 4 update soon?
This sample store seems to be using many of the older technologies for example in the Membership and Authorization.

Yes, there's a separate branch in the source code for the ASP.NET MVC 4 release:

The docs are nearly done, should be posted soon.

It's great to see you using SimpleMembership but seems like there's not a lot to see - very black-boxy. Hoping the write-up goes into deeper detail re: features/usage of SM cuz there sure doesn't seem to be much coverage of it - which seems strange given
how fundamental of a feature it is.
And same can be said for the new Session object.
