Release Notes
This is the 2.0 release of the MVC Music Store Tutorial. This tutorial is updated for ASP.NET MVC 3 and Entity Framework Code-First, and contains fixes and improvements based on feedback and common questions from previous releases.
The main download, MvcMusicStore-v2.0.zip, contains everything you need to build the sample application, including
A detailed tutorial document in PDF format
Assets you will need to build the project, including images, a stylesheet, and a pre-populated database
The completed code for the project which shows you how your application will look when finished (this is helpful in case you get stuck)
You can also download the assets and PDF document separately if desired.
This tutorial and application are built for Visual Web Developer 2010 or Visual Studio 2010, running against SQL Server Express. A T-SQL create script is available in the Assets folder in case you would prefer to use your own instance of SQL Server 2008.
Reviews for this release
I can't imagine what the two earlier posters are complaining about. I did this in my spare time over three days and had no major issues. There were a couple typos in the instructions. But most of the difficulties came from me fat-fingering the keys or not reading carefully enough. I would update the tutorial to account for the display issues with Firefox, besides that it all went very well.

For the MVC 3 version, I managed to survive several minor nuisance typos until midway through Part 5 where partial views are introduced. What a mess there. Gross errors and incomplete "completed" code. I then walked away from wasting any further time on this one.

A potential user should beware of the MVC Music Store tutorial. Code is horribly bug-infested and accompanying documentation does not reflect code. Jon Galloway, the author of this tutorial, doesn't give a damn about fixing problems and issues.
